Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi, Japan

Ashikaga Flower Park opened since 1968 as “Hayakawa Farm” in Horigome-cho, Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. It has been loved as 250 tatami large wisteria but was moved to Ashamacho, Ashikaga City in 1997 for urban development. Today, the park is also progressing and site area around 94,000 square meters. Daifuji is the symbol of this garden and was transplanted by Mr. Konami Tsukamoto who is the first female physician in Japan. It was the first successful example in Japan.

Four Daito (three Noda Kusanto, one Yaekuro Ryuto) with 80 meter long in Shirato tunnel are designated as Tochigi natural monuments and these are in full bloom during the month of the “Fujinohana Monogatari – Oto Festival. The illumination of Light Flower Garden will be held from late October. This garden has been selected as one of Japan’s three largest illuminations certified by the Night View Convention Bureau.

The garden decorated with a lot of flowers every season and more than 1.5 million visitors come every year. They have 8 main themes of each year. From their themes with several hundred flowering plants and trees display in each season.
