The Republic Of San Marino is a country in Southern Europe on the Apennines. Surrounded by Italy and one of the European state histories. Republic of San Marino is one of the oldest republics. Set up around the year 301 by the Christian stone extraction artist Marinus the Dalmation, who escaped the influence of the Roman emperor Diocletian, who opposed Christianity. By fleeing from the island of Arbe and setting up a small Christian community at the top of Titano on the Apennines. San Marino lands were occupied by foreign forces twice in 1503. Cesare Borgia, also known as Valentino, took possession of the territory, but San Marino was free in less than 1 year when Valentino died.
