Egypt!!! The first thing that we think of Egypt is the pyramid of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Before we travel to Egypt try to study rough information about them first.

Egypt is become famous for ancient civilizations including the most spectacular ancient monuments in the world such as the Pyramid, Carnac Cathedral and the Valley of the Kings. At present, Egypt is considered the political and cultural center of the Arab world.
Cairo is the capital of Egypt and near the Nile Cairo river. The city have population of about 17 million and the most populous city in Africa. The city name “Cairo” in Arabic means “victory” by the belief that is caused by the sight of Mars during the construction of cities and Mars is a symbol of destruction. However, in another belief that name “Cairo” comes from a city that fought every army that attacked Cairo including the Mongol army, crusade army, or even the Ottoman army.

2. Great Pyramid of Giza
The Great Pyramid of Giza also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops. The Pyramid is 1 of the 7 wonders in ancient world. This is the largest pyramid in the world located on a plateau on the west bank of the Nile River in the suburbs of Cairo. Built in the period of King Khufu around 2,600 BC or about 4,600 years ago. In the 4th dynasty of Egypt, it was a very long time.
The Great Pyramid of Giza consists of 3 pyramids including the Khufu or the Great Pyramid of Giza which had previously reached height of 481.4 feet which is just as high as the 40 floor of building. When time passed, the current height of the pyramid was only 450 feet.
Later, the Khafre pyramid was located in the middle. 3. Sphinx Mythical Creature of Persian
Sphinx is a carving of natural stone. It is a mixture of humans and lions. The human head is Pharaoh’s Egyptian which is symbol on a bearded chin. The body looks like a lion. The creature was an Egyptian invention and had a male head of human or animal. In front of the forehead there is a snake spreading the hood and jewelry.
4. Khan el Khalili
Khan el Khalili located at El-Gamaleya, Qism El-Gamaleya, Cairo, Egypt. The market is about 600 years ago. This is another one that must see as old building Ancient Arabic style like walking into the Indiana Jones movie scene. The most important market that is one of the largest souvenir products in Cairo. You can choose many beautiful local items such as handmade perfume bottles, various products, jewelry and jewels, Arabic pattern, carpet and local souvenirs.
5. Abu Simbel Temples
This is the second most visited on tourist attraction in Egypt. Abu Simbel Temples is huge stone temple and received as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place located on the border of Egypt and Sudan and was built in the 13th century in the reign of Ramesses II. This was around 1,224 years before Christ. The temple build for celebrate the victory of Egypt when they won Newbie in the Battle of Kadesh.
This temple was built from the extraction of two mountains divided into two chapels. For the Ramses II and his own wife. The highlight of this temple is the statue of Pharaoh Rameles sitting on the throne in front of the temple. Each of them has a height of 20 meters and the gape astonishing in the ability and effort of the previous generation.
6. Valley of the Kings and King Tutankhamun
If talking about the valley, many people would think of a valley with beautiful flowers and nature but not with this valley. This valley is located on the west side of the Nile opposite the city of Thebes. The Valley of the Kings have 63 graves! Each hole has a large room and small differences room. There are more than 120 complex rooms. It is not a tomb because this is the tomb of the kings and the dynasty of ancient Egypt from the royal family during 18 to 20 dynasty. It is a very old and ancient place.
Another thing that makes this valley very famous until today because they found the discovery of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun cemetery (King Tutankhamun) in 1922. It’s causing the discoverer to be astonished by Quite well because there are so many treasures that are stored inside the cemetery room but more precious things are treasures of the mummy. This is the body of Pharaoh Tutu Amun which has been placed in the gold cabinet up to 4 floors ever. The stone body of the coffin was found with 3 layers of gold and when they opened it. They found the mummy and the body was Pharaoh Tutu Amun. They also found a gold mask that replicates on his face. The most perfect mummy and gold mask shows the glory of the golden age from those days.
Pharaoh Tutu Amun is very famous for Pharaoh’s curse because above the cemetery there is an ancient Egyptian text written. The death will come to those who disturb the Pharaoh’s sleep after they open of his tomb. There were more than 22 people involved to the opening and died without knowing the cause then people believe that it’s because of the Pharaoh’s curse.
7. Luxor Temple
“Luxor” is Arabic and have same meaning in English as “Castle”. Luxor is completely different from Cairo that not crowded of the population. Luxor Temple is located on south of Karnak temple. In the past, this route was able to connect to the Karnak temple with a narrow road about 3 kilometers away from Karnak. This is so-called upper Egypt with clean, peaceful, romantic scenery and created by Pharaoh Amethyst III. He built this temple with the restoration of the Karnak temple. If counting the age of this temple it will be more than 3,400 years and have been restored from many later pharaohs but the most notable during Ramses II.
This is like a second home for the rest for Amara gods and the family of the Mut and the Khonsu. This temple was also designated as a place to worship of gods during the Opet festival especially in front of the temple was decorated with the Sphinx. These Sphinx were built in the 30th century by Pharaoh Nectanebo I (some books say the construction starts from the New Kingdom but finished in the Pharaoh Nectanebo I period).
