Galeries Lafayette department store located at Boulevard Haussmann, Paris, France. Galeries Lafayette department store is a fashion institution in Paris. This place is one of the most famous luxury department stores inside the building have beautiful architecture. Even though we didn’t intend to shopping on brand name but you should come and visit. The store in Paris is close to the Opera Ganier. Galeries Lafayette opened in 1912 before being the leading of fashion in the world. Before this store is just a small clothing store at the corner of Lafayette Road. But later there are huge number of employees and customers want to spend their money and look for design.

Now, the Galeries Lafayette department store has about approximately 500,000 square meters in total of 5 floors. At present, Galleries Lafayette has branches divided by Major cities within the country and outside the country around 61 branch. Galeries Lafayette department store open on Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am – 7:30 pm and during on Sunday will be open until 9:00 pm.

This department store has a very unique identity especially dome inside the hall. There are beautiful décor decorations with steel frame, stain glass, the art nouveau pattern. Art Nouveau designer is a very popular in France during the late 18th century. The decoration of the buildings use stucco motifs and curved railing which is a beautiful image of the city. Galleries Lafayette will sell whether clothing, bags, shoes, or perfume. They have free fashion show every week.

Inside the department store have 3 major parts are as

  1. The main building (Coupole) is where many luxury brand name products sell including electronic devices and suitable for all ages such as Avant Premiere, Bloch, Marnoush, Monet, Rica Lewis, as well as famous brands like Blenciaca, Christian Lacroix, Ralph Lauren, Swarovski.
  2. The male building (Homme) is male products for who do not like the brand name then you should come and walk in this zone because most of them are men’s goods but there also has supermarket with food, water, and liquor.
  3. The third building (Masion) is general sell furniture and home furnishings. During in October of each year, the department has organized with special promotions for customers such as all products will be discounted at 50 percent off but they have to pay taxes.

How to get there:

  • By Subway Metro Line: Use Pink Line or Yellow Line and get off at Chaussee d’Antin La Fayette Station then walk out of the station a little. You will see the mall.
