Bhrigu Lake is situated at an elevation of 4235 m in the district of Kullu. This lake is located in the east of Rohtang Pass and is at a distance of 6 kms from Gulaba village. As the shores of Bhrigu Lake do not have any human settlement till date, the serene ambience of this place is an added attraction to the tourists. Legend has it that this lake derives its name from the great saint Brighu. As a result, people hold Bhrigu Lake to be a sacred place. Bhrigu Lake is positioned in such a way that many of the trek routes of this area pass by it. Consequently, many trekkers also drop by on their way to treks.
