This museum is under the Ministry of Education which is the municipality of Oslo and presents the history of the Oslo School. The Oslo School Museum covers Oslo’s school history in the period from the primary school law of year 1889 and through the turbulent 70s. The museum is located in the old teacher’s residence at Møllergata school.
The museum has an historic collection of schooling objects. The collection consists of books, student works, school furniture, maps, films and other teaching materials. As Oslo School Museum was opened in 2000. This museum’s provide offers to the public, students and staff of the Oslo School gather preserve and document the capital’s school history be there during the Education Agency and the city’s knowledge bank for historical information about the Oslo School.
Opening hours: Thursdays 12.00 – 18.00 and Christmas, Easter and Bank holidays is closed. This is free admission and have free tours on Thursdays at 16.30. From Autumn 2019: September 5th, October 3rd, November 7th, and December 5th.
