Kansai Day 5: Osaka on the first day trip

With Osaka day, I use Amazing Osaka Pass. I choose two day pass for travel around Osaka City. This pass you have to use together during two days and can’t be use separate day like Kansai Thru Pass.

My plan is ride a boat to Universal Studio Japan (captain line), ride Santa Marine Cruise, Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel, Osaka Castle and Tsutenkaku Tower.

I go to Osakako station also know as Bay Area.

At the Captain Line that you can use this cruise connect to Kaiyukan West Pier and Universal City. At Universal City, you can go to Universal Studio as the famous amusement park in Japan. They open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.

After travel around Universal city and return back from captain line cruise then walk to the next building. This building you can make the reservation for ride Cruise Ship Maria Day Cruise. This cruise is sightseeing boat that travel around Osaka Harbor and take about half and hour ride. They’re open from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.

My next place to go is Tempozan Giant Ferris wheel. The place you will see view from the top of the wheel ride. The Ferris wheel is about 112.5 meters high with 360 degrees panorama view. You can see Osaka view from this wheel. If you afraid of higher then you shouldn’t ride this wheel.

The Ferris wheel locate not far from Santa Maria Cruises and they’re open from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.

After I spend time in Bay Area finish. I go visit Osaka Museum of History and Osaka Castle which is on Chuo line (green line). This is same line that you went to Osakako Station (C11). For both places you can get off at Tanimachi 4-chome station (C18).

The museum open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm and close on Tuesday and December 28 – January 4 each year.

Tsutenkaku Tower in Tennoji area is Osaka symbolic presence with oservation and the statue of the good luck god. This tower is about 3 mins walk of southeast side from Osaka Metro Sakaisuji line (brown color line) and get off at Ebisucho station then walk to exit #3. The tower open from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.

One important thing on Tsutenkaku Tower is free admission only on weekday if you use Osaka Amazing Pass for entry.

On the 5th floor of the tower you can see a view of Osaka and statue of Biriken. The Biriken is name of a god that bring good luck for person who come and make a wish.

The original of Tsutenkaku tower was built in year 1912 and in that era people tall about 64 meters height. But then in year 1943 was fire broke out on the tower then they rebuild and renovate the tower again.
