Gosho Aoyama Museum in Tottori, Japan

Gosho Aoyama Museum is located at Hokuei which is between Kurayoshi town and Yonago town on Tōhaku District, Tottori 689-2221, Japan. Many people know that Gosho Aoyama Furusatokan is a manga or animation museum that have cartoonist from the same town and the original author of Detective Conan series. Some people call this place as Detective Conan Museum.

The museum has 2 floors displaying about works of Aoyama. Since elementary school to all the famous works whether original cartoons, anime, figurines, the character of the Detective Conan story and the simulation room.

On the 2nd floor, there are corners that you can try out interesting on puzzles including skateboarding game, cabinet. This will take us on the role of Conan-kun who is the leader of manga and animation. This museum was built for Conan fans, detective Shinichi or detective Conan by Master Kosai Aoyama who is the author of this famous manga series. There will be a bronze statue of the character in Conan placed at various points as the cover image on the book. The water pipe cover is also in the shape of a Conan.

Admission: Adults 700 yen, High school students 500 yen, Elementary school students 300 yen, Under elementary school students are free (can get a discount card at the Tottori information Center)

Opening hours – Closed: March – October at 9.30 – 17.30, November – March at 9: 30-17: 00

How to get there:

By Train:

  • It’s easily accessible from JR Sanin Main Line and get off at Yura Station (Conan Station), then walk for 12 minutes or take a 3-minute on taxi or take the museum’s free bus (But have to wait a little longer).
