Phrathat Hariphunchai Temple in Lamphun, Thailand

Wat (Temple) Phrathat Hariphunchai or วัดพระธาตุหริภุญชัยวรมหาวิหาร is at Mueang District, Chang Wat Lamphun, Thailand. The original address is 335 O Bo Cho Lamphun Ban Chambon Rd, Tambon Si Bua Ban, Amphoe Mueang Lamphun, Chang Wat Lamphun 51000. Temple have Open and Close time which is following: opens daily from 6 am until 6 pm but the museum has opens 6 days per week (closed on Mondays and Thai national holidays) from 9 am until 4 pm. Entrance fee are 20 Thai Baht per person (for foreigner).

Temple or Wat (In Thai name) is the place for people visit for pray and attractions. For foreigner this place will be good attraction for visits and take a look on Thai culture. The temple is located in the center of Lamphun town, on the East end of Inthayongyot road (Highway 106), on the West bank of the Kuang river. How to get there:

By Car:

  • The town of Lamphun is about 30 kilometers South of Chiang Mai, which takes around 30 minutes to reach by car. Most hotels in Chiang Mai will be able to assist in booking a private taxi.
  • catch a local bus from Chiang Mai to Lamphun, which takes around 1 hour then from downtown Lamphun, get there by samlor (three wheeled bicycle taxi) or tuk tuk.
