Kotokuin Temple located at 4-2-28, Hase, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture 248-0016, Japan. During April to September open from 8.00-17.30 pm and October to March open from 8.00-17.00 pm. Entry fee are 170 yen adult and age 13-18 150 yen.

The large and famous temple of Kōtokunin Temple, also known as Big Buddha. It is the symbol of Kamakura. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is located at Kotokuin Temple, the only Buddha statue that is a precious treasure of the country. Originally, the Buddha will be enshrined inside the temple building. But about the 14th and 15th centuries, the building was destroyed by a storm under the dust.

- take the train on Enoshima Dentetsu Line and stop at Hase station then walk to the temple about 9 minutes.
