Why is the Netherlands called the European Garden?

The Netherlands is a country with beautiful scenery. It has many titles, one of which is the “European Garden”. The Netherlands is rich in flowers and is known as the country of flowers. A large number of flowers are exported every year.

The Netherlands is rich in flowers, because of the sufficient sunshine, precipitation, humid climate and moderate temperature changes, which are very suitable for the growth of flowers. The names of many companies from all over the world are hung on the front of each float, and the name of the flower farmer and the place of business negotiation are marked on the back of the float. Combining festive celebrations and business activities together, this is the modern color of the traditional Dutch flower festival.

There are more than 10 flower plantations in the flower auction market, such as the tulip garden and the rose garden, where you can enjoy flowers of various colors and varieties arranged regularly.

Keukenhof Park has 800 varieties and 7 million tulip flower exhibitions. If you haven’t been to Keukenhof in the Netherlands, you have never been to the Netherlands. The Bollen streek flower field is located in the west of the Netherlands. The full name is “Duin-en Bollenstreek”, which means “bulb flower planting area” in Dutch. This area extends from Haarlem in the north to the Hague in the south.

The officially recognized flower fields include 6 main locations: Hillegom, Katwijk, Lisse, Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout and Tai Teylingen. Rent a bicycle and ride slowly to the Bollenstreek flower field near the park. There are different flower field cycling routes every year, and there will be a route map description when you rent a bicycle.

Flevoland is the largest flower ball area in the Netherlands. The Northeast Reclamation of Flevoland has the longest tulip route in the Netherlands, with a length of 100 kilometers. It was rated as one of the “most beautiful routes in the world” by National Geographic. Along the way, more than 1,000 hectares of blooming tulip fields can be seen.
